Plumbing Permits

A plumbing permit is required for all new installations of plumbing and the replacement of any part of an existing plumbing system.

Plumbing installations are subject to compliance with all prescribed regulations under the Ontario Building Code.

Work must commence within six months or that permit is deemed to be cancelled.

Inspections

No part of an installation is to be enclosed, without inspection and approval of the Plumbing Inspector

Two working days' notice is required for inspection. Inspections will be done between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (except holidays).

Paper applications and inspection requests by phone are still accepted.
