How to Access County Information

If you would like to make a request for documentation that is in the possession of The Corporation of the County of Lambton, please follow these steps:

Search

Search the County's website to see if the information you're looking for is already available and posted.

Contact the Applicable Service Area

Most County records can be provided to you without having to submit and pay for a formal Freedom of Information request. Please contact the applicable service area about the records you are seeking and departmental staff can assist with providing access to that information. Phone numbers and email addresses for each department can be found on our Contact Us page. If you're not sure which service area is the correct one for the information you are looking for, please contact the FOI Coordinator at 519-845-0809 ext. 5253.

Formal Request

If the information you're looking for is not readily available through the applicable service area, you will need to complete a formal Freedom of Information request.

There is a $5 application fee for each request, and additional fees may apply prior to the release of records.

This $5 application fee can be paid:

• Online (credit card) when completing the online form.
• By Mail (cheque) if completing the online form or printed PDF copy of the form.
• In person (cash or cheque) if completing the online form or printed PDF copy of the form.
