Welcome to Lambton

The Welcome to Lambton app is a user-friendly, personalized guide to support newcomers to Lambton County. It has an integrated translation component, currently making the app content available in eight languages.

Created by the SL-LIP, in collaboration with TMRRW Inc. and funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the app gives a virtual welcome to newcomers to Lambton County and:

  • Connects users with community programs and settlement services.
  • Provides personalized pre- and post-arrival checklists.
  • Delivers guidance on how to complete important tasks like finding a home, searching for a job, and locating childcare and healthcare.
  • Serves as a tool for service providers, sponsors, or anyone supporting newcomers to the community.

All personal information collected in the app is confidential and used to create a personalized profile for app users. Certain anonymous information - like demographic and service access information - is collected to help ensure the emerging needs of our local newcomer population are met, and will help inform future decisions surrounding local service and program delivery.

The Welcome to Lambton app is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
